The awards are online this year, and I am watching with one earphone in, with one of my publishers who happens to also be on this holiday. The kids have JUST been put to bed so we are all being extra quiet while we wait for them to fall asleep. Let me set the scene for you - I’m in an Airbnb with a whole bunch of friends and our kids. Last week The Erasure Initiative won Best YA Novel at the Aurealis Awards. Maybe I’m cursed? Anyway, it’s super cute and you should buy one for the primary-aged child in your life. I released my THIRD book in lockdown - How To Make A Pet Monster: Flummox. But then it turned out a whole lot of things happened in the meantime, so you’ll have to wait for the Big News and deal with these Also Not Insignificant Newses. I’ve been holding off on writing this newsletter because I have all sorts of exciting upcoming news that I want to share.
